ISL 2017-18: CK Vineeth clears the air about him missing KBFC's match vs BFC
KERALA BLASTERS lost 1-3 against Bengaluru FC on 31st December. The likes of CK Vineeth and Rino Anto were missing from the squad. And then post the match, the buzz was that they missed it because they were playing their former side.
Earlier today (3rd January) Vineeth took to social media to clear the air about the rumours. He has explained clearly that he had to miss the match due to an injury and not because he was facing his former side.
You can read the series of tweets below:
A lot of people have said much about my injury and I would like to put everything on record as it is. I suffered a groin injury on the day before our clash against Bengaluru FC. As the pre-match conference was held before, it wasn't possible to inform the media about this.

The doctors informed me that an MRI showed the injury, and even though I tried my best to make it, it wasn’t to be. I apologize to the fans who continuously believe that I had omitted myself from the game because it was against my former side, because they couldn’t be more wrong.

As a professional footballer, I give everything on the pitch, every time, and those who know me well, will know that it doesn't matter who the opposition is. I am working on my rehab and as the doctor tells me, it could take a while. I will see you all in the stands, soon.
