ISL 2017: I'm very satisfied because we improved our game in terms of playing quality, Guimaraes on his team's win over NEUFC
MUMBAI CITY FC got their first away win against NorthEast United on Thursday. A happy coach Alexandre Guimaraes expressed his delight at the post match press conference. He said,
"I'm very satisfied because we improved our game in terms of playing a quality game. We poached them in the right moments. The first goal we recognise the situation to put the ball where it had to go. The second goal we press a little bit, their full backs or centre backs were under pressure. But overall I’m very satisfied because we improved… we played against a team which is very solid in defence."
He also heaped praises for Davinder Singh and Abinash Ruidas.
"They performed very well. We managed to rotate Davinder with Wadoo. Last game he didn’t play; he’s a young player, so we try to give chances to young players. Also, defensively Ruidas performed much, much better. During the second half of the last game and this game, he had the confidence to get forward."
Amrinder Singh was seen getting a knock during the match but coach stated that he would fit to play their next match.
"I think now we have nine days until the next game at home against Delhi. I’m pretty sure he’ll recover for that game."
