IPL 2018: Kings XI Punjab appoint Brad Hodge as head coach

KINGS XI PUNJAB have appointed Brad Hodge as the head coach for the upcoming season. It is learnt that although the Aussie stalwart will assume the chief position, he will report to Virender Sehwag, who is the overall in-charge of the franchise.

KXIP management confirmed the news and also stated that the cricketing affairs will henceforth be handled by the professional team headed by Sehwag, also the mentor and brand ambassador of the side. Hodge had previously coached Gujarat Lions in IPL 9 and IPL 10 and had also helped the side reach the finals. He will head the support staff that includes Mithun Minhas and J Arun Kumar.

Meanwhile, KXIP have lost a few members of their support staff, including fielding coach R Sridhar and physio Patrick Farhart, who have joined the Indian team.
