MATCH REPORT: 10 men Pune City take home three points with a lone goal from Adil Khan to beat Jamshedpur

TEN MEN FC PUNE CITY grab three points with a lone goal scored by Adil Khan to beat Jamshedpur FC away from home.

A slow start from both the teams saw them going all out at each other as the game progressed. the chances created by both the teams kept their respective keepers busy for the evening. Most of the possession was kept by the visiting team leaving the hosts under pressure.

Out of the two keepers, youngster Vishal Kaith was tested and he came out with flying colours in the first half as they were some close and clinical saves from him. Jamshedpur attack came close in one or two occasions but they failed to connect to their final touches.

Then there were some fouls and free-kicks, when a team consists of Mehtab Hossain, a free-kick is bound to happen. And that cost the home team as through the free-kick and set piece, Pune got their first goal of the evening.

Marcelinho who recently became a father had the good luck favouring him as his free-kick in the 30th minute was well connected and put into the net by Adil Khan. And it was no more clean sheets for the home team.

Once Pune got the goal, Jamshedpur suddenly turned up the pace and tried their best to get an equaliser before half time. But nothing was working in their favour. And then towards the end of the first half, there were multiple chances created by Jamshedpur that kept Vishal Kaith on his toes but he did well to keep them away. Then a cross to Azuka saw him heading the ball into the net and the whole stadium erupted with joy but the celebration was later cut down as it was ruled off-side.

That ended the first half with the visitors heading into half time with a one goal lead. Coppell and his boys really had to make something work in order to get a point or grab all the three from the second half.

But the start of the second half saw Pune City attacking once again, looking to further their lead as Jamshedpur were doing everything possible to get a goal and give their fans something to cheer.

The most of the second half was dealt in yellow cards as it saw fouls and hard tackles that kept the referee busy with his cards. It also saw big names including Alfaro and Marcelinho get into the books for the fouls but they were substituted later in the game.

Chhuantea too saw himself get booked for tackle and within minutes he was booked again and Pune City were down to 10 men trying their best to hold on to the lead.

The substitutes for the home team saw Ashim, Belfort and Farukh coming on who put their opponents under pressure with their shots. But the cool and calm headed keeper Vishal Kaith saw to it that his team maintained the lead throughout.

Five minutes were added which saw the home side make the most of it but nothing really worked in their favour.

And finally the visitors ensured to take away three points cancelling out Jamshedpur's clean sheet record.
