ISL 2017: FC Goa coach Lobera says they will have to be on top of their game vs KBFC

FC GOA will be a confident bunch as they host Kerala Blasters at home tonight. Coach Sergio Lobera admitted that though they won against Bengaluru, the room for improvement was plenty.

At the pre-match press conference he said,

"We competed well in the last game. Of course, there are aspects which we need to improve on. We will be addressing that and looking forward to the next game."

Talking about his opponents, he said,

"I wouldn’t classify Kerala as defensive. They have players with a lot of quality and create a lot of chances. They will be well organized in defence and in attack. We will have to be on top of our game."

They are playing after a long break and therefore coach Lobera stressed on the importance of getting back strongly,

"I know eight days is a long time. But we have to back ourselves and keep doing the same things and get into rhythm quickly. We have to back ourselves and be really positive."

Talking about his strategies in the previous match, he said,

"There were two reasons for changing the defence. The first thing is the rule of the league with a limited number of foreign players. The second thing is the opposition. We play teams with different styles of play and we have to play a certain style in order to win the game."
