READ: Why Hardik Pandya kept his calm despite being caught by police in the Caribbean?

IN A POPULAR CHAT SHOW ‘Breakfast with Champions’, hosted by Gaurav Kapoor, India all-rounder Hardik Pandya spilled a lot of beans.

Hardik revealed about the struggles that he and family went through before making it big in the IPL. The 24-year-old also spoke about the bond that he shares with his teammates. Speaking about the rapport that he shares with West Indies all-rounder and his Mumbai Indians teammate, Kieron Pollard, Hardik divulged an incident that occurred during the Caribbean tour.

Hardik, who labels Pollard ‘brother from another mother’, said that the Trinidadian played a prank on him as he was walking freely in his country.

“When we went to West Indies, I was with him the whole time. I was roaming about as if I was in India because I knew that he won’t let anything happen to me.”

Hardik added why he kept calm when a police officer tried to arrest him in presence of Pollard,

“Pollard asked me why I was calm. I said ‘See Polly, nothing will happen to me if you are around. I am in your city. However, he decided to pull my leg. He called a police officer, who was actually his friend, who tried to arrest me. I knew it was a prank but at one point, things got a little serious. I stayed calm and I thought I would call the Indian team and sort it all out because I haven’t done anything wrong. I figured out it was a prank when I saw the police officer try to call someone while holding the phone upside down with the speaker at the other end.”

Watch from the 7:00 minute to hear about Pollard's prank incident.
