Hong Kong SS: Sindhu in QF while Prannoy & Saina ousted
MIXED RESULTS for the Indian singles shuttlers at the Hong Kong Super Series. Women's singles shuttler and second seed PV Sindhu defeated Japanese Aya Ohori 21-14, 21-17 to enter the quarter-finals.
In the quarters, she will face yet another Japanese and 5th seed Akane Yamaguchi.
Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal and men's singles shuttler HS Prannoy ended their campaign. Saina lost to Chen Yufei 21-18, 19-21 10-21 while Prannoy lost to Japanese Kazumasa Sakai 21-11, 10-21, 15-21.
This leaves only Sindhu in quarters from India.
