Hong Kong SS: Saina, Sindhu & Prannoy in round two
SAINA NEHWAL, PV SINDHU and HS Prannoy had a good outing at the Hong Kong Super Series as they won their respective opening matches.
Saina defeated Mette Poulsen 21-19, 23-21 and will face 8th seed Chen Yufei next. Sindhu defeated qualifier Yuet Leung 21-18, 21-10. Her second round opponent will be Aya Ohori.
Prannoy displayed great performance to fight his way to the next round as he defeated Yun Hu 19-21, 21-17, 21-15. He will next play Kazumasa Sakai.
Meanwhile, Sai Praneeth, Parupalli Kashyap, Ashwini Ponnappa/Sikki Reddy and Manu Attri /Sumeeth Reddy ended their campaign as they lost their respective matches.
