#TFGinterview: Tiffany Teo eyes ONE championship Strawweight title ahead of fight with Pooja Tomar

SINGAPORE’S TIFFANY TEO WILL FIGHT INDIAN MMA fighter Pooja Tomar this weekend at ONE Championship: Immortal Pursuit.

Tiffany eyeing gold after her fight with Pooja Tomar

Currently holding a record of 6-0 in her resume, Tiffany is also ranked first in Tapology’s Pound-for-Pound rankings for Southeast Asian Women fighters.

And as she steps into the cage to face Pooja, she will be looking to improve her ONE Championship record to 4-0 and has left no stones unturned for her preparations.

Tiffany Teo: It'll be an exciting fight for sure. I've been working with Team Highlight Reel, Singapore Wrestling, and Impact MMA for the fighting aspect. Vie also been working with strength avenue and yoga movement for the strength and conditioning and recovery aspects. I am very prepared for this fight. It is always a nice and special feeling fighting at home, in Singapore. I can’t wait to put up an exciting performance for my fans, family and friends.

She told us ahead of her fight. The last time Tiffany stepped into the cage, she outclassed Rebecca Heintzman of United States via a unanimous decision. Riding on this momentum and her impressive undefeated streak, a confident Tiffany has gold in her mind, and of course some beer and pizza after her fight against Pooja.

Tiffany Teo: [on her plans after Immortal Pursuit] Grab some pizza and beer to celebrate the win (laughs). I’m also eyeing for the currently vacant straw weight title. Hoping to get a shot at the title after this win.

But first, she must overcome the threat posed by India’s Pooja Tomar at the event on Friday night. Arguably one of the most important cards of the year for the promotion, ONE Championship: Immortal Pursuit will be headlined by Ben Askren and Shinya Aoki.
