Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shikhar Dhawan released from Test team due to personal reasons
OPENING BATSMAN Shikhar Dhawan and paceman Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been released from the current squad that will be facing Sri Lanka in the second Test at Nagpur on November 24, after the duo made a request to the selectors and team management owing to personal reasons.
The BCCI mentioned Vijay Shankar as the Bhuvneshwar’s replacement. It also mentioned that Dhawan will be available for selection for the third Test.

Virat Kohli’s men will go into the second Test following a draw in the Kolkata Test, where the visitors were reduced to 7 for 75 before the on-field umpires called stumps on day 5. India had set up a target of 231, courtesy of Virat Kohli’s quick century. On the other hand, Bhuvi picked up four-for in both innings and was awarded MoM.
