WATCH: Goals from the opening weekend of ISL 2017

THE FOURTH edition of ISL didn't start off with a bang as expected from with the heavyweights Kerala Blasters and ATK. Instead it was a dead game for the fans who were gathered in numbers to witness.

The second match of ISL too didn't see any goals from NorthEast United and Jamshedpur but there were chances created. It was all down to Sunday's double header that fans were hoping to see some goals.

Chennaiyin FC has had a record of scoring the first goal of the season but this time though they were involved, it was goal scored against Chennaiyin. FC Goa taking good opportunity on the counter run that saw CFC's defence line lose to sneak in the first goal of the season. But little did everyone know that this match would be a goal-fest as it saw 5 goals in total. Three from Goa and two from CFC. It also saw the first Indian to score in this season, Mandar Rao Desai for Goa.

The second match on Sunday was the much anticipated as ISL debutants Bengaluru FC were up against Mumbai City. The first half ended in a goalless draw but everyone hoped for some goals in the second and the hopes were not squashed. Two goals for BFC, one coming in from their captain Sunil Chhetri.
