The week that went by was an eventful one for the MMA world. Some interesting fights were made official for upcoming UFC events while the Indian MMA scene was buzzing as well.

One of the biggest news that came out this week was Bharat Khandare being signed to UFC. Bharat will be fighting at the UFC Event in Shanghai and will be the first Indian born fighter to step into the octagon.

The Indian MMA Community welcomed the news and some notable fighters such as Nelson Paes, Abdul Muneer and Farhan Siddique conveyed their best wishes to Bharat as you can see below.

Meanwhile, the Indian MMA team had a good showing at the IMMAF World Championship. Shiva Raj and Nishigandha Rao picked up wins at the event. Warm messages came in regarding the same as well.
