China Open: Sindhu, the only Indian shuttler to enter QF

DEFENDING CHAMPION PV SINDHU continues her winning form at the China Super Series Premier as she entered the quarter-finals beating Chinese Han Yue 21-15, 21-13.

The second seed Indian dominated the match throughout not giving her opponent any chance to get back in the match.

She will next face another Chinese Gao Fangjie in the quarters. Fans won't be able to witness to another Okuhara vs Sindhu clash as the former retired injured in the opening round.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy ended their campaign after losing their respective matches. Saina, once again this time for the 4th time, lost to Japanese Akane Yamaguchi 18-21, 11-21. Prannoy was defeated by Lee Cheuk Yiu 19-21, 17-21.

This leaves Sindhu as the only Indian shuttler left in the tournament.
