AIMMAF President Aditya PS extends Best Wishes To fighters participating at the IMMAF World Championship

In a statement released to TFG MMA, All India MMA Federation (AIMMAF) President Mr. Aditya PS has extended his best wishes and support to the fighters participating at the IMMAF World Championship in Bahrain.

Aditya noted that it is important to support the Indian fighters beyond sports politics and had special acknowledgment for Shiva Raj and Divya Nagraj.

‘Both these fighters have trained very hard under some of the best coaches and they surely have a prospect to bring medals from the Championship’ he said.

The statement holds great importance as it shows how MMA athletes can bring together the community despite certain differences.

Shiva has already picked up two wins at the IMMAF World Championship while Divya is yet to fight. Before embarking on his IMMAF journey, Shiva had become the overall medallist at the Combat Carnival event. Nishigandha Rao is also having a good run at the event as she became the first female Indian fighter to win at the World Championships.

The fighters are currently fighting under All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMA) at the event in Bahrain.
