IMMAF World Championship Day 2- Indian MMA team picks up two wins

THE INDIAN MMA TEAM CONTINUED THEIR GOOD campaign at the IMMAF World Championships and picked up two more wins on the second day.

The Indian MMA team continued their good run at the IMMAF World Championship

Shiva Raj secured his second win of the tournament when he defeated Irfan Ahmed of Pakistan via split decision. On the first day, Shiva had become the first Indian fighter to pick up a win at the IMMAF World Championship.

Elsewhere, Nishigandha Rao made history at the tournament when she became the first Indian Female fighter to get a win at the World Championship. Nishigandha defeated Daria Sloviashchenkova via split decision and advanced to the next round.

Two other female fighters were in action for India on the second day. Naipunya Sunil went up against Hannah Dawson and suffered a TKO defeat in the second round despite a good showing.

Saloni Avhad had a similar faith when she was stopped by Gulmira Nugmanova in the second round of their fight. Dylan Kennedy ended the campaign of Pathian Malsawmdawngliana by securing a submission victory.

The last fight of the day for India came through Ajit Negi who suffered a submission defeat against Anton Turkalj. Below are the results from the second day of the IMMAF World championships in Bahrain.
