ISL 2017: Teddy Sheringham finds a great balance between Indian and foreign players in his team

THE ISL CHAMPIONS ATK TEAM RETURNED FROM PRE-SEASON and were welcomed warmly by the fans in Kolkata. At a mall in Kolkata, the club owner, head coach and player Robbie Keane were present to unveil their new kit of the upcoming season.

Teddy, speaking to the media at the Jersey launch event,  shared how the last few weeks of training have been saying,

"We have been away for pre-season for three and a half weeks. We have done a lot of training, played four games. Everything seems to be coming together"

ATK will play one more pre-season game in the country.

"Everything seems to be coming together. We are all very excited for the season, can’t wait to get started with ISL"

Asked if there was pressure on him as other managers before him have guided the team to two out of three titles, Teddy replied,

"Of course there is pressure but all my life I have dealt with pressure. It is a different kind of pressure and I'm leading from a different angle. I have to get every bit of information to my players and hopefully it will bring rewards again"

ATK Head coach was happy to see the mix of players in his team and further added,

"I'm looking forward to integrating both the Indian players and foreign players as one team!"
