Kohli overtakes Messi in the Forbes list of most valuable athletes

INDIA SKIPPER Virat Kohli has surpassed iconic Lionel Messi on the list of most valuable sportspersons released by Forbes. 

Kohli, who recently struck his 31st century in his 200th ODI, is placed seventh with $ 14.5 mn. Lionel Messi, Rory Mcllroy and Steph Curry are all placed behind him on the top 10 list.

The chart is headed by 19-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer and includes just one cricketer in Kohli.
