Denmark SSP: Saina, Srikanth & Prannoy enter RD 2; Sindhu ousted
SAINA NEHWAL thrashed out Carolina Marin to enter the second round of Denmark Super Series Premier. The former World No. 1 Indian had a great match, winning it straight games 22-20, 21-18.
She next plays Jindapol in round two. But it wasn't a good day for second seed PV Sindhu as she lost to Chinese Chen Yufei 17-21, 21-23.
In the men's singles, Kidambi Srikanth defeated compatriot Subhankar Dey 21-17, 21-15 to face Jeon Hyeok Jin in round two. HS Prannoy too joins Srikanth in round two, he defeated Emil Holst 21-18, 21-19 to set up a clash against Lee Chong Wei.
While the others including Satwik/Chirag Shetty, Satwik/Ashwini Ponnappa, Sikki Reddy/Ashwini and Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy ended their campaign at the tournament.
