It was a hard fought battle, in which the young Indian emerged victorious. The young Indian had an easy ride throughout the tournament. Getting a bye in the first round, walkover in the second, two straight game victories against unseeded players and one tough battle including the final in the quarters.
But she overcame all of that to write her name on the title. She was the only Indian shuttler to enter the finals.
