Pat Cummins to miss T20 series against India in a bid to prepare for the Ashes 

AUSSIE PACEMAN Pat Cummins is set to miss the upcoming T20 series against India. The towering bowler will return to Australia after the completion of the ongoing five-match ODI series, in a bid to prepare for the Ashes. 

Confirming the news, national selector Trevor Hohns said,

“Pat has played a considerable amount of cricket this year after a long period away from the game due to injury. His body has handled the return to international cricket well, but we believe the best plan for him ahead of the Ashes Series is to return home to refresh, both mentally and physically, before he prepares for Sheffield Shield cricket.”

Cricket Australia did not announce any replacement for Cummins. The 24-year-old, who has picked one wicket in two matches, has been seen struggling to cope up with the heat.
