INDIA VETERAN Gautam Gambhir promised to fund the education of the daughter of the Jammu and Kashmir police, who was killed in a terrorist attack.
It is known that Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police Abdul Rashid was martyred in Kashmir's Anantnag region on August 28 when militants fired at him at Mehandi Kadal area. Following the ghastly attack, Gambhir took to his twitter account to express his condolences and salute the martyred policeman. Subsequently, he also mentioned that his foundation will fund the education of the J&K cop’s daughter Zohra.
Gambhir is known for noble gestures. Earlier this year, he pledged to fund the education of the children of 25 CRPF jawans, who were killed by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district.
