The WWE Network now offers Hindi content for the fans in India

THE WWE NETWORK MADE A HUGE step in the Indian market with this year’s SummerSlam.

The WWE Network is now offering Hindi content for the fans in India

The biggest show of the summer was streamed live in Hindi on the network and it once again showed how much the promotion is customizing their content to fit he audience in India.

At the show, reigning WWE champion Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the title. Before the show, it was Jinder that announced about the show being streamed live in Hindi.

“As we continue to place an emphasis on international growth, offering a customized version of SummerSlam to our fans in India was a priority. This is another step in our ongoing strategy to create localized WWE Network content for our fans around the world.” said Michelle Wilson, WWE Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer in a press release.

The alternative audio option in the WWE Network is what gives the fans access to Hindi content. Currently, the fans can view all the pay-per-views after WrestleMania 33 in Hindi. This includes around seven pay-per-views at the moment.

Going ahead WWE has announced that they will be showing all the pay-per-views in Hindi, which is another add-on for the Indian fans.

Rolling out the news shows

Beyond the customized content for their fans in India, WWE has also rolled out a string of new programs for the Network subscribers. The most notable among the lot would be the Mae Young Classic Tournament which is women’s only tournament featuring female performers from all across the globe.

It will also feature the debut of India’s first ever female wrestler Kavita Devi.
