SLvIND: Chamara Kapugedara ruled out of series due to back injury; Malinga to lead

SRI LANKA have been dealt with another blow after stand-in skipper Chamara Kapugedara became their most recent player to join the list of injured players in the ongoing ODI series against India. 

Sri Lanka, who have already lost the series, will be led by Lasith Malinga in the fourth ODI. Malinga’s appointment will mean, he will become the fifth captain to lead the home side in the past seven competitive matches. 

Tharanga, who has been banned for two games for slow over rate, will return to lead the side in the fifth ODI. 

Sri Lanka will take on India in the fourth ODI on August 31, in Colombo.
