Sindhu to get Rs 10lakh, Saina Rs 5l for medal-winning performances at World Championships

PV SINDHU AND SAINA NEHWAL once again took Indian badminton to greater heights after their heroic performances at the World Badminton Championships with their Silver and Bronze medals.

The Badminton Association of India has announced a cash reward of 10lakhs for Sindhu and 5lakhs for Saina respectively.

This was the first time that India has won two medals at the Worlds and to celebrate this momentous occasion. Congratulating the players for their exceptional performance in the tournament, President of BAI Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said,

“I would like to congratulate both the girls for their great performance. It has been a great journey and I am sure the performance of the players will only get better from here.”
