World Badminton Championships 2017: Sindhu goes down fighting to settle for a Silver

PV SINDHU went down fighting against Nozomi Okuhara 19-21, 20-22, 22-20 to settle for a Silver at the World Badminton Championships.

A gruelling match that kept all the fans on the edge of their seats and those watching on their TV sets glued to their seats.

A match between two fighters who didn't give up till the last point. Every game was a closely contested match and both showed extreme tiredness. The highest number of rally was 73 shots in the second game, the point that gave Sindhu a comeback and pushed the match into a decider.

When the Japanese won the opening game, it put all the Indian badminton fans into a tensed situation but Sindhu known always to make a comeback won the second game.

The final game was the most intense game seen in women's singles badminton. It held the nerves and finally the Japanese showing her 'Samurai' side won the final game and claimed the Gold medal.

But nonetheless, this was the best badminton that the fans got the pleasure of watching.
