SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD Karman Kaur Thandi has added her name to the top 50 rankings in the world juniors; she has been ranked 49.
She very well deserves this reward as this year (2015) has been really good.
The recent high came at reaching the pre-quarters of the US Open junior girls singles championship where she was ousted by the second seed. Earlier in the year she won the ITF grade-1 junior girls singles title in Germany and she calls it the toughest tournament till date.
She also won the junior tennis ITF singles in Kolkata; she started the year with this title. She had also ended 2014 on a high, winning the nationals under 18.
Now all these performances does make her a deserving candidate to be ranked at 49 and she promises to work hard and do even better.
"Will work hard to make Tricolor fly higher," she wrote on her Facebook page.
