Yuvraj gets the axe as selectors rope some new faces for the limited overs series against Lanka

THE BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the five-match ODI and a lone T20 series against Sri Lanka, starting August 20. The Indian team has seen seven changes in the squad that toured the Caribbean last month as the selectors opted for a young squad. 

While Yuvraj Singh has been kept out of the squad, the selection committee has decided to rest Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami. Manish Pandey, who recently led India A to a tri-series triumph in South Africa, returned to the team along with Test opener KL Rahul.

Apart from uncapped Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal also made the cut.
