ISL 2017: ATK sign former Liverpool striker & Irish international Robbie Keane

ROBBIE KEANE IS COMING to the Indian Super League. The 37-year-old has agreed to a deal to sign for ISL Champions ATK, who are managed by his former Tottenham Hotspurs teammate Teddy Sheringham.

Recently, the confederation body in Asia, AFC recognised the Indian Super League and awarded the winner of the league a spot in the continental championship the AFC Cup.

Robbie Keane last played in the Major League Soccer in the U.S.A. for L.A Galaxy where he made 16 appearances and scored 10 goals. Before moving to the MLS fulltime in 2012, the Irishman spent majority of his career in the English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs. Keane is the latest foreign additions to the the Kolkata-based franchise.
