Shylo ‘Mama’ Malsawmtluanga joins hometown club Aizawl FC
NOTHING SHORT OF BEING a legend in the state of Mizoram, Shlyo Malsawmtluanga is widely respected in the state. He began his professional career with East Bengal in 2002 becoming the first player to do so from the state, insipiring many more to follow.

After East Bengal, he went on to play for notable clubs like Mohun Bagan and Salgoacar and represented the national team as well. He has won the ASEAN Cup and two National Football League titles besides winning the Federation Cup, Durand Cup, Super Cup and IFA Shield. Shylo ‘Mama’ Malsawmtluanga has a stand named after him at the Assam Rifles Ground in Lammual, Aizawl.
