SILVER and BRONZE for Sharad Kumar and Varun Singh respectively on Day 9
INDIA'S MEDAL'S TALLY MOVED TO FIVE with double winning on Day 09 of the World Para Athletics Championships.
In the Men's High Jump T42 category, Sharad Kumar and Varun Singh Bhati competed for two of the three medals in the event and bagged them both. The weather made conditions tough for the para-athletes as some found the track slippery while others saw the dip in temperature affecting the blood circulation in their limbs.

Both athletes were happy for winning medals for their country, but at the same time felt that they could have given a better performance. With this, India’s medal tally has now reached five!
