USA GPG: Kashyap and Prannoy to clash against each other in the finals

PARUPALLI KASHYAP AND HS PRANNOY set up an all Indian final at the USA Grand Prix Gold after their respective semi-final victories.

Kashyap overcame a tough battle against Kwang Hee Heo in a three game battle 15-21, 21-15, 21-16 to seal a place in the finals.

On the other hand, second seed Prannoy had a rather easing outing against 15th seed Tien Minh Nguyen 21-14, 21-19.

The head-to-head count between the two is levelled at 1-1. They last played in 2014 where Prannoy emerged victorious. This battle too favours Prannoy as he has been in great form as compared to Kashyap who is still struggling with his form post injury.

But keeping in mind, his performance at USA GPG, he looks determined and desperately needs a title at the moment to have his confidence boosted.

For fans, on the other hand, they get to witness a third all Indian men's singles clash in a final of the tournament. No matter what the result is, an Indian will be crowned champion and runners-up in this category.

3rd seeds men's doubles duo of Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy went down fighting against top seeds Lu Yao/Yang Han 12-21, 21-12, 20-22.
