FOLLOWING THE BCCI’S announcement to welcome the IPL franchises – Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals – back into the league, India wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni took to his social media handle to share his love for CSK and his fans.
Dhoni shared an image of himself wearing his famous No.7 CSK jersey. The jersey had ‘Thala’ written on its back, which means ‘boss’.
Dhoni led the Chennai franchise for consecutive eight seasons and clinched two IPL titles in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Under his captaincy, CSK reached the IPL final on seven occasions. Recently, a CSK official expressed the franchise’s desire to retain the former India skipper and the rest of their old staff, for IPL-11.
