Kohli makes a gaffe while congratulating Mithali Raj on becoming highest run-getter in ODI

INDIAN WOMEN’S TEAM skipper Mithali Raj became the highest run-getter in women’s ODI, following a 114-ball 69 against Australia at Bristol, on July 13.

Mithali surpassed former England skipper Charlotte Edwards’ record of 5992 runs and crossed the milestone of 6000 ODI runs. India skipper Virat Kohli took this an opportunity to congratulate his women’s cricket counterpart. However, the prolific batsman, who is reportedly enjoying his vacation in the United States, made a gaffe while singing praises.

The Delhi-lad took to his Facebook handle to congratulate Mithali but made a mistake and posted of the Punam Raut, who scored a century against the Aussies. Before Kohli could realize his goof up, followers pointed it out to him. Subsequently, he deleted the post from his account.

Kohli congratulated Mithila Raj and posted a pic of Punam Raut
