Ashley Westwood appointed Technical Director at Atletico de Kolkata

TWO-TIME INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE winners and current champs Atletico de Kolkata have retained their two Indian senior players and are now going back room staff shopping.

Yesterday, ATK announced that Ashley Westwood is their new Technical Director. The former Bengaluru FC head coach, will take on new responsibilities at the team. First of which might be to help find the right coach after Jose Molina parted ways with the team.

Westwood was in charge of Bengaluru FC in their inaugural I-League season. He brought in a get passing and attacking flavour to the Benglauru FC side and helped them win two I-League titles and a Federation Cup.

After moving out from BFC in 2016, he joined Penang FA in the Malaysia Super League. It was not a smooth ride for him and the partnership fell apart after a less ideal start in the season.
