TFG Fantasy Pundit: Fantasy cricket tips for ENG v SA 1st Test at Lord's

Overview 

Expect the seam bowlers from both sides to be amongst the wickets. That said, we feel the England batsmen will be better equipped to scoring more runs on the Lord's wicket. England have named their 12-man squad and one of either Roland-Jones or Liam Dawson will sit out. For South Africa, Faf du Plessis won't play this game. 

Probable 11 

ENG- Cook, Jennings, Root, Ballance, Bairstow, Stokes, Ali, Dawson, Broad, Anderson, Wood

SA- Elgar, Kuhn, Amla, Duminy, Bruyn, De Kock, Morris, Philander, Maharaj, Rabada, Morkel

Players who cannot be ignored 

Root- The new England skipper is currently enjoying his dream run and there is no logic pointing towards playing fantasy cricket without him. 

Amla- He will have plenty of runs to score as the senior most member of the Proteas team. He has an impressive record in the UK. If he can get his eye in, we should expect big scores. 

Anderson- The champions swing bowler is back and should be hard to negotiate with the red cherry early on in the innings. Dropping him could cost you big. 

Stokes- Always a handy prospect if someone can give points with both bat and ball. Let's not forget he has a decent test record too.
