THE BENGALURU BULLS have had their highs and lows in the four seasons of PKL. In the inaugural season, the Kosmik Global Media Group-owned franchise finished third and was eliminated in the semi-finals. The team had its best season in 2015, where they reached the finals but were beaten by U-Mumba. The two subsequent seasons so them go downhill as they finished sixth and seventh respectively on the points table.
Ahead of the PKL players auction, the Bulls retained skipper Ashish Kumar and acquired new players across all departments. While the team lost premium defenders in Mohit Chillar and Surender Nada, it roped in Ravinder Pahal and Sachin Kumar to carry out corner defence duties. Apart from acquiring many promising young guns, the franchise also bought Ajay Kumar, who was adjudged as the ‘Emerging player of Season 4’.
