Gilchrist congratulates Dhoni on surpassing him on run-getters list
AUSTRALIA GREAT Adam Gilchrist has paid tribute to MS Dhoni after the India veteran surpassed him to become the second-highest run-getter by wicketkeepers. Dhoni overtook Gilchrist’s mark of 9,410 ODI runs while scoring a half-century against West Indies at Antigua.
The Aussie posted a picture on Instagram of the two during their Indian Premier League days, saying it was only a matter of time before the former India captain would pass him on the run-getters’ list.
Although Dhoni has cemented the second spot, he is still a long way behind Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara.
