INDIAN ACES: Bengal Warriors bet on local talent to make a mark

AHEAD OF THE SEASON FIVE, the Bengal Warriors got a complete makeover of its Indian nucleus, retaining only its marquee overseas player, Jang Kun Lee. The Warriors, who haven’t enjoyed an impressive run in the league since its inception, have improved their title chances by reinforcing all departments.

The Future Group-owned franchise finished seventh, sixth and fourth in the initial three seasons of PKL. In the fourth edition, the Warriors gave the fans very little to cheer about before finishing at the bottom of the points table, with just three wins in 14 matches. However, they will be hopeful of a reversal of fortune in the upcoming season courtesy of a strengthened team.

The franchise also appointed Asian Games Gold medallist and former Services player Jagadeesh Kumble to coach its young cadre.

Let us take a close look at some of the Indian wizards who will most probably be the game changer for the Bengal Warriors.
