TFG Fantasy Pundit: Fantasy cricket tips for ENG v SA first T20

Overview 

Both teams have some new faces for this T20 series and we can expect them to play in the first T20 itself. There will be quite a few debutants for England. The weather too is set fine in Southhampton. Expect a perfect batting wicket and a high scoring game looks likely. Don't be shocked if any marquee name gets rested after the demands of the Champs Trophy. Given the tight budget and lack of clarity on the playing 11, be very wise with your selection. 

Probable 11

ENG- Roy, Bairstow, Hales, Billings, Morgan, Butler, Jordan, Dawson, Wood, Crane, Curran/Willey 

SA- Smuts, R Hendricks, ABD, Miller, Behardien, Mosehle, Parnel, Pretorious, Tahir/Shamsi, Phehlukwayo, Paterson

Players who cannot be missed 

Hales- He has been in great form lately and even did well in the champions trophy. He loves playing T20 and can really take the South African attack to the cleaners in this format. 

ABD- Although the great man has been inconsistent, he cannot be ignored in a format like this. A few shots and he can quickly get on top of the game. Would be a risk to drop him. 

Tahir- Always a genuine wicket-taker in this format. His strike rate is excellent and could play a match-winning role tomorrow with the ball. 

Butler- We all know what this guy is capable of doing in the shorter version of the game. Even if he gets a few overs to bat, he is going to be dangerous. 

Stats 

Butler- In his last 5 T20 inns, he has scored 36, 73, 16, 15, 0. Has a strike rate of almost 140 with a HS of 73. 

Hales- Last played T20I in Sep 2016. Last five inns- 17, 0, 20, 1, 37. Has scored a 100 in T20Is and 7 50s too. 

Tahir- Has 54 wickets in 31 games at an outstanding average of 13.70. The last match he played, it was a 5wicket haul for him in NZ.
