Australia SS: Kashyap, Siril & Ruthvika enter the main round

FOUR INDIAN SINGLES SHUTTLERS played their qualifying rounds today at the Australia Super Series and out of which three gained entry into the main round.

Parupalli Kashyap, Siril Verma and Ruthvika Shivani won their qualifying rounds to gain entry into main round of men's and women's singles category.

In the first round of the qualifiers, Kashyap defeated Zhao Junpeng 21-15, 21-18 and in the second round he trumped Indonesia SSP runner-up Kazumasa Sakai 21-5, 21-16.

Siril defeated Yehezkiel 21-9, 21-9 in round one and in round two he defeated compatriot Shreyansh Jaiswal 21-16, 21-14. Shreyansh defeated Pit Low 21-14, 21-11 in the first round.

Ruthvika beat Sylvina 21-15, 21-15 and Ruwindi 21-9, 21-7 in first and second round respectively.

In the opening rounds of the main round, Kashyap will be up against top seed Son Wan Ho, Siril plays HK Vittinghus and Ruthvika will face Chen Xiaoxin respectively.
