Indian MMA: Siddiq Bin Mahmood suffers Defeat at IMMAF Asian Championship

Siddiq Bin Mahmood, who was India’s biggest hope at the IMMAF Asian Open Championship in Singapore, suffered defeat in the first round.

IMMAF Asian Open Championship is currently being held at Singapore

Mahmood was pitted up against Yernaz Mussabek of Kazakhstan in a flyweight bout. Yernaz only required 37 seconds to submit the Indian and move on to the second round of the championship. It was the first fight from the second day of the championship.

Mahmood had previously won Bronze at the IMMAF championship held in Africa.

Official Result: Flyweight – Yernaz Mussabek (Kazakhstan) defeated Siddiq Bin Mahmood(India) via submission (Teepee choke) at 37 seconds of Round 1: Referee Howie Booth.
