Thailand GPG: Praneeth & Saina march onto the QF

SAI PRANEETH continues his winning run as he enters the quarter-finals of Thailand Grand Prix Gold. He defeated 9th seed Iskandar Zulkarnain in straight games 21-13, 21-18.

With this performance, he looks unstoppable. His QF opponent is Kantaphon Wangcharoen, this too shouldn't be a difficult task for the Indian.

On the other hand, 12th seed Sourabh Verma who put up a good fight against 5th seed Brice Leverdez but it wasn't good enough. After losing the first game 16-21, Sourabh fought hard to win the second 25-23 but it wasn't replicated in the final game as he lost 11-21.

In the women's singles category, Saina Nehwal had yet another easy outing against Ying Lee. She trumped her in straight games, 21-11, 21-14.

Meanwhile Sai Uttejitha who shone in the opening round after her amazing performance failed to do the same in her second match. But she didn't make it easy either for her opponent Chaiwan Pattarasuda. The Thai won 21-15, 21-17 to enter the quarters.
