IN THE QUARTER-FINAL MATCH between V.M. Ranjeet and S.D. Prajwal Dev, the former won by 6-3, 6-4 in the Power Pak ITF men's futures tournament on Thursday in Chennai.
While in a battle of the left-handers, Prajnesh defeated third-seeded Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan by 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(5) which was a hard-fought battle between the two.
In the second set, Jeevan was up a break to go 2-0 up but did not falter to take it 6-3. In the third set, there was little to separate both the players, as their serve was impeccable.
In another match, Sumit Nagal left second-seeded N. Sriram Balaji upset to reach the semifinals. Balaji bowed out of the tournament by 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
