It’s #HoggyTime! Brad video signs for Big Bash 5; worth a watch!
IN A MUST-WATCH hilarious parody video, Australian veteran Brad Hogg celebrates re-signing with Perth Scorchers for Big Bash League Season 5.
The announcement of Hogg's return was made through a fans-first Facebook campaign, where the post would require 100 shares to unlock a surprise video for the fans. The video was finally unlocked, with Hogg reprising his role as the rap mogul of the Scorchers. This time, he was seen parodying the song "Can't Touch This", sung by iconic rap star MC Hammer, whilst donning baggy pants. The video ends with the announcement, “Stop! #HoggyTime”.
The Kolkata Knight Riders bowler said he was excited to be back for a fresh new season, and that each season is special than the last.
"That’s the beauty of age; you know your strengths and don’t take yourself too seriously," he told the official website of Perth Scorchers.
“I said I’d play as long as I still have something to contribute and as long as my ageing body doesn’t let the team down, so it’s a year by year thing for me at nearly 45. "Thankfully, the body is holding up, I’m feeling as fit as ever, so I’m thrilled to be back for the fifth year of BBL."
This isn't the first time Hogg has done something so crazy. Last year, the evergreen cricketer impersonated Eminem's "Without Me" to announce his return to the Scorchers for season four.
Hogg posted another video on his official Twitter account, looping his fans into some “behind-the-scenes” footage that went into the making of "#HoggyTime"!
