WATCH: Martin Guptill’s one-handed stunner that ended Lendl Simmons’ innings

VIEWERS AND SPECTATORS were once again left stunned watching the standard of fielding and catching in IPL-10.

During the second innings of the match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab, Martin Guptill pulled one of the best catches of the tenth edition of the cash-rich tournament. Chasing a massive target of 231, MI looked on route to a comfortable double hundred figure as Lendl Simmons and Parthiv Patel set off to a blistering start.

However, soon after Parthiv’s dismissal, Guptill executed a one-handed grab at the boundary to dismiss Simmons off Glenn Maxwell. The Trinidadian was sent back to the pavilion after scoring a quick-fire 59 off 32 balls.

The match ended in a nail-biting final over as KXIP won the game by seven runs. The victory means that the Punjab franchise is still in contention for the play-offs. They will play their last group stage game against RPS on May 14.
