Dismissing Kohli, Gayle, ABD in one game is a dream come true, says Sandeep Sharma

KINGS XI PUNJAB kept their hopes of breaking into the top four alive after thrashing Royal Challengers Bangalore in their 10 match.

The Punjab franchise successfully protected their 139 run target as RCB suffered yet another batting collapse. RCB top-order Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers contributed to just 16 runs as KXIP paceman Sandeep Sharma claimed all three wickets. After nabbing all three and ending the day with figures three for 22, Sandeep Sharma said,

“It is making me feel great (about picking three great T20 strikers). It is a dream come true for me, getting those key wickets. I’m very happy.”

As reported by CricketCountry, Sandeep credited KXIP mentor Virender Sehwag for guiding him on how to bowl under swinging conditions.

“I have been talking to my coaches especially Viru who told me to swing the ball both ways and pitch it up. Any batsman will find it difficult to tackle swing.”

Speaking about upcoming games, Sandeep said he is happy to play in front of his home crowd.

“Next two games, we are playing in Mohali that is my home ground. Bangalore is my second home ground I’ve always done well here also.”
