Never seen so many collapses for a side in one IPL season, says Kohli

FOLLOWING ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE’S ninth defeat in 12 games, skipper Virat Kohli conceded that he has not seen so many collapses by any team in a single season.

The Bangalore franchise failed to chase KXIP’s 139 at their home ground and the side was bowled out for 119. As reported by IndianExpress, the Delhi-lad said that is disheartening to lose another game.

“We let ourselves down with the bat once again. I have not seen so many collapses for a team in one season. You don’t really understand what to do in times like these. It’s really disheartening. I don’t know what to say in games like these anymore. It’s happening many a times now for our liking. Anything we are trying with the bat is not working.”

With just five points from 12 matches, RCB are languishing at the bottom of the table and Kohli said that he can’t pinpoint anything for the batting unit’s repeated failure.

"The whole squad is trying to be positive but we are not finding a way to make a big score. Wickets are falling too quickly, I can’t pinpoint anything, we are trying to be as positive as we can. Our preparations have been similar to what we did last year, but what matters is what you do on the field and this season has been against what we’ve wanted.”
