Below are some highlights from the interview.

On fighting Tony Ferguson:

“They’re trying to pressure me to fight Tony Ferguson, but what the f*ck, I’m going to cover for Conor McGregor and do his work while he’s out making f*cking millions of dollars fighting boxers and sh*t?. I’m not covering for you, bro.

You guys fight each other. I heard Tony’s manager talking, saying that I need to get a fire up under Conor McGregor’s ass if I want to fight him for the third time. Like, I gotta do what? You guys should fight each other, motherf*cker. You guys have the same manager. You guys are working together against me. You guys need me to do the work for you? F*ck off. I ain’t asking for no money fights because you know what? I am the money fight,”

His conditions for picking up a fight:

“Until it’s all the way right financially, or somebody steps their game up and makes me want to fight them, (I’m not fighting) because I don’t want to fight anybody who doesn’t make me want to fight.” Check this out.

You’re in the school cafeteria, right? Lunch time. Remember high school? And somebody’s like, ‘hey, look around the room. Who do you want to fight? Who do you want to fight in here?’ Random Tuesday, the week is going fine. ‘Who do you want to fight in this cafeteria?’ Remember the cafeteria? There’s 300 people in there, right?

You look around the room, like, ‘f*ck man, I don’t really want to fight anybody.’ Will I fight anybody? Yeah, I guess. Do I want to? No. First of all, that’s rude. ‘Everybody thinks he’s good. You should fight him.’ Well f*ck, does he want to fight me? I don’t know what the f*ck I would fight him for, he didn’t do nothing to me.

But if that motherf*cker jumps up on the table in a corner of the cafeteria and says, ‘what’s up, motherf*cker? You sorry ass little b*tch. Want to get your ass whooped? What’s up? Come get it.’ I want to fight that guy. You know what I’m saying? That’s the guy I want to fight. But until then, I don’t have no reason to fight nobody.”

The last fight of Nate Diaz came against Conor McGregor which he lost via a decision.
