Aizawl FC threaten with hunger strike if not included in top division next season

STRONG STATEMENTS FROM THE CHAMPIONS stating their demand to be in part of the top division post the speculated merger of the I-League and Indian Super League.

The owner of Aizawl had made it clear to all that Aizawl FC must be part of the top flight of Indian football. The club issued a statement saying that we have written formally to the AIFF about their concern and will see to it that their demands are met. The club went on to say they intend to go to any extent to see that the club is served with their request.

In their tweet, AFC further mentioned if they do not get the desired response from AIFF they would approach the Indian government authorities, the Prime Minister and even the President of the Asian Football Confederation. Last task on their plan of action to get their request heard is to go onto to sit-in protests worldwide and even fast unto death.
