AIFF nominates Jeje, Bembem and Gurpreet for Arjuna Awards

FORMER players and legend in the women's football circuit, Oinam Bembem Devi has been nominated for the Arjuna Awards by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) along with star forward Jeje Lalpekhlua who has been instrumental in the national team's success and his club Mohun Bagan.

Also nominated for the award is keeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu who is the only Indian player at present who plays for the first team of a top division club in Europe, and even made an appearance in the continental championship Europa League. He plays for the Norwegian top division club Stabaek. He has also been the first choice keeper for the national team.

All these three names have played a key role in the upliftment of Indian football in the recent past.
